Genie + is a same day reservation system. It is an additional cost of about $15-25 per person on top of the park ticket price. You an use this though you he day. It is not mandatory but it can help you get on rides faster and I recommend using it. Starting at 7am the day of your park visit you can make your selections on the app and you can use it for rides that typically have liner wait times. Here’s the official Genie+ list of attractions:

All of these rides are available using the genie plus service but I recommend using it for Peter Pan, jungle cruise or Space mountain depending on your priority. Those tend to have the longest wait times.

The other option for decreasing wait time is the Individual Lightning Lane. This is a per ride price and usually costs about $12-20 per attraction.
